CELEBRATING "US"

Last night was fun!! Rob had the kids settled at home with Mc Donalds in hand by the time I got home (I worked late, again!). Then we went out to dinner to celebrate 13 years of marriage! It was so nice! We just went to Black Angus and sat and ate...aaaaalllloottt!! We had a few drinks and tons of fun conversation! It was very nice and I really enjoyed myself! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US!!!

THANKFUL TUESDAY!

So...this weeks topic for Denise's Thankful Tuesday is...

THIS WEEK. Meaning from last Tuesday to today - what made you thankful?

1. This week I'm thankful that Jake's birthday is finally over!

2. That My hubby and I are gonna be married 13 years tomorrow! (even tho we've been together 19) lol Oh and yes our son just turned 14...do the math! lol!

3. I'm thankful this workday is over...I'm so tired that I may not finish this list! lol

4. I'm thankful that BOTH of my kiddies had check ups at the Dentist today and had NO CAVITIES!!! yay!!

5. I'm thankful that we got SOME Christmas presents wrapped!

6. I'm thankful that Denise posted that hillarious picture on her page of us wrapping gifts together last year!! HAHAHAHAHA!!

7. I'm thankful I will get to hang out with Denise and wrap gifts together for the 3rd or 4th? year in a row!! So fun! Great times! When we really wrap...last year we drank...a few bottles of champagne and wrapped maybe 4-6 gifts combined! lmfao!!

8. I'm thankful that my daughter just came up and gave me a hug!!

9. I'm thankful for you!

10. And finally...this week I'm thankful that I was healthy and well!!

First is Jessica on the morning of Jacob's birthday...I got up and made pancakes and I woke Jess up just in time for her to take them into her brother! We sang really loud to wake him up!!

Writer's Workshop...

I'm a few days too late but I thought I'd do Mama Kat's writers workshop this week since I've been falling behind!!

This weeks prompts were:

1.) Allergies much?
2.) Worst dentist experience ever.
3.) Describe a "new road" you've taken in your life.
4.) What would you say to a mouse who could talk?
5.) Who is the best listener you know? What makes him or her such a good listener?

I guess...since I'm an RDA (registered dental assistant)..I have TONS of dental experiences...but one stands out a whole bunch!!

One day as I was working in one room with a patient, I could hear others working in the other room...I hear the doctor talking to this patients husband, asking about her health, as she had Alzheimer's and wasn't doing too well. The hygienist was finishing up and the doctor went in to do an exam on the patient. While examining her teeth the patient bit down, as hard as she could and the doctors finger was still in her mouth!! I heard the doctor calmly say "Open your mouth please, my finger is still in there" and the patient bit down even harder! The doctor got a little louder and she said "Mrs. Patient, my finger is in your mouth, I need you to open!" The patient still did not open! By this time I had went into the room to see if I could help. I saw the Doctor in panic over her finger being in this patients mouth...she looked so scared! The patient was just laying there, clenched down as hard as she could on the doctors finger. The husband was calmly saying "Dear you have to open your mouth". This poor lady had no idea what was going on. Her mind was so far gone with the Alzheimer's that she was just closing her mouth and had no idea that she was hurting the Doctor!! Finally the hygienist used the mouth mirror and pried the lady's mouth open. The doctors finger was blue! The tip of her finger looked like it was going to fall off! The lady just looked up at her and smiled! Her husband felt so bad and we reassured him that it wasn't her fault...but Mann...was that scurry!! Believe it or not...the next day the Dr's finger was just fine! A little sore, but functional and fine!

So, that's my dental experience! I have tons more!!

The party was a blast...not everyone got to come because of it being short notice and also some were sick...but for the ones who did get to make it...Thanks for being there to share it with us! JUMPING MADNESS...

So, I'm planning for Jake's birthday party and I called John at AC Jumpers and he is bringing over the biggest jumper EVER (well, not the biggest EVER but the biggest that's ever been in our yard!) for Jake's party! Jake is going to be sooooooooo happy!! And so will I because it will keep all the boys outside! lol!! It looks like this...

I'm so excited to tell Jake when he gets out of school! He wants to go to Walmart and get balls so they can play dodge ball inside the jumper...hmmm....I may have to wander in there! lol!

MY BABY BOY CANT BE TURNING 14 YEARS OLD!!

Well reality is...HE IS! On Tuesday of next week, December 9th at 5:32 am! We were going to have a party for him on the 13th but the date is conflicting with my hubby's Christmas party for work sooo....we are having it this Saturday...so put on your party hats and join us!!!

THANKFUL TUESDAY!

Ok...its Tuesday so that means Denise has an assignment for us!!! YAY!!
So for this week's assignment...

Our topic is:
LIFE.
Meaning what about your life are you thankful for?

Here goes...

1. I am thankful first and foremost for me! Lol!! If not for me...I wouldn't be here doing this blog and I wouldn't have anything to be thankful for right?? So I am thankful for myself!

2. I am thankful for my children! Jake and Jess are total joys in my life! They make me laugh, they drive me crazy, they make me wonder and learn more and more everyday! I love them more than life itself!

3. I am thankful for my Awesome Husband! He has put up with me for so long that I am amazed he hasn't killed me yet! lol!! He is such a great soul! He definitely keeps me going everyday...if not for him I'm not sure where I'd be today!

4. I am thankful for our home. Its not "ours" on paper...but we pay the rent here and we take care of it so its ours...Anywhere that my Hubby and kids are is our home...weather it be at the track in our trailer, in a hotel on vacation or here in our house...as long as we are together...I am home!

5. I am thankful for my little sister Mollie...thru all that has gone on in our lives we have remained VERY close and I will always cherish that! I love you Mc!!

6. I'm thankful for my job! I actually LOVE what I do believe it or not! Yes I go to work and I suck spit all day long ...lol! I work in a Dental office where I can use my skills as a licensed RDA and feel proud of what I do! Yay! Its close to home and I have a boss who appreciates me!!

7. I'm thankful for the little things...like Soap Net in the evening after a long day! Like GA nights with a few of my BFF's, Skinny Cow's, cuz even tho they are diet..they are yummy!!

8. I'm thankful for WW...even though I b*tch about it...I have lost 22lbs since May 1st and I am DAMN proud of that!!

9. I'm thankful for my awesome family...My Dad, My brothers and sisters, my brother in laws and sister in laws, My Mother and Father in law, My Gram, My Aunts and Uncles, my nieces and nephews and all of my extended family! Those friends that you consider family...that are there thru thick and thin...you know who you are!

10. And like I've said before...I am just plain thankful! Thankful for the air I breathe and the world we live in! Thankful to be free and not have too many worries in the world. Thankful for my health...even though it could be better at times! Thankful that my leg still works...keeping my fingers crossed on that one!! And just plan Thankful on this Thankful Tuesday!!!!

Happy Thaknksgiving Week!!

Well...Thanksgiving was good! I hope everyone else had good one's also! By the blogs I have read it seems so!
We did Thanksgiving at our house this year! Yay! It was nice! On Wednesday Jessica and I baked away in the kitchen! We made a pumpkin pie, a pumpkin crumb cake and a yummy cheese cake!! mmmm...it was the hit of Thanksgiving!!
On Thursday, Thanksgiving day, I got up around 7 or so and started in on the cooking...it was fun. I researched online and got a few new recipes...and they turned out pretty good! Gram and Darrell came over. Also my Mother in Law and brother in law came over. Rob deep fried our turkey and I cooked all of the other stuff! It was a great day!
On Friday...well the plan was to go shopping, then not to go...and then at 5:23 am Friday morning I get a txt message from my little sister Mollie saying "I am wide awake!" I txt her and said "why?" and she responded that she felt like she was missing something because we ALWAYS shop on black Friday together...but we had decided to stay home! Long story short, she drove down that morning from Sacramento and we went shopping!! Yay!! It was fun! My Mother in law joined up with us and we all went out to breakfast and had a great morning!

Its been awhile...

Sorry for the no blogs lately....Migraines suck!! After suffering a migraine all day on Friday I went to the Dr Friday night and that's pretty much all I remember until Sunday! I slept for over 36 hours, thanks to the drugs they gave me!
Still feelin poopy today, I worked half day and had to come home! Wah!
Hoping for a better day tomorrow!

Thankful Tuesday! :)
Normally people have a Thankful Thursday but with so many other assignments to do during the week, Tuesday is usually the day that doesn't have much going on! Denise decided to change that and offer all of us a Thankful Tuesday!
So for this week's assignment...

1. I am thankful for my Husband Robert because we have been together for 19 years and he still loves me! He may not always like me, but he ALWAYS loves me!


2. I am thankful for the fact that he gave me two of the sweetest, most amazing and awesome kids ever!! Jessica Renee and Jacob Ryan are the reason we live everyday...they are proof of our love!


3. I am thankful that he is such a hard worker! This man goes into work at 5:30 am and works all day until 2 or so, then he picks up the kids at school and comes home and works in the garage or around the house! He likes to be busy! He even goes to work on day's he doesn't have to, because he knows it will help us in the long run.

4. I am thankful that he calls me funny nicknames like "Cokey Smurf"(from Californication (ps...I'm not a cokey smurf, he just thinks its funny)) and "Trinkles73"(my email address from...forever! lol)

5. I am thankful that he is a kickback kinda guy and can play Rockband for hours!! He's my ROCKSTAR!!


6. I am thankful that sometimes when I hug him just the smell of his breath takes me to a calm place and I know I'm safe!


7. I am thankful for him because I know that I haven't been the easiest person to get along with for the last 19 years, but he has hung in there with me and I love him for that!


8. I am thankful that he brought motocross into our family! We go almost every weekend as a family to the track or to practice. The kids love it!! I love it!! Rob and I used to go camping and ride dirt bikes all the time before our kids came and now its something that we do as a family and its a very special time!



9. I am thankful that my husband is no dummy when it comes to a lot of things! He can fix my car, the house, my heart!!! He's Mr. Fix It and I'm soooo grateful for that!

10. And last but surely not least...I am thankful for My husband...the man that kisses me goodbye every morning, even tho I'm sleeping and tells me he loves me. That 2 seconds starts my day off wonderful! He could just leave but he doesn't...and I love him for that! Thank you honey for making me feel so special! I love you!

WE ARE HOME!!!

We had a great trip!! It had been over 7 years since my Grandmother In-law has had all of her children together under one roof...she was in shock I think! lol!! Here is a pic of Grandma Helen and her kiddies...from left to right...Uncle Buddy, Janice (Rob's Mom), Aunt Nancy, Uncle John, Uncle Gary and Grandma Helen...

Robert and Grandma enjoyed a beer together, lol! He had just smashed his can! I'm not sure whats up with the sun on his smile!! lol!! (I think its angel kisses! lol!)

Like I said....we had tons of fun...the kids rode four wheelers and dirt bikes allllllll day in the back yard (that consists of at least 10 acres) Papa Jim got out the backhoe and made them jumps and all!! The adults hung out and drank "coolaid" and beer, ate TONS of yummy home cookin and chatted it up! Good times! I love these guys and I hope it doesn't take 7 years to get us all together again!!
